We've traditionally punched well above our weight in most sports, but the reality is that there are only 20 million people in Australia and so we're not going to be producing crazy-good champions left right and centre. That said, Bernard Tomic is going to be crazy-good when he grows up!

I wish Stosur and Molik had been able to do more as well. Stosur is a special favourite of mine, and it was so tragic when she got Lyme disease. Here's hoping our latest commodity, Casey Dellacqua, doesn't get cut off in the middle of her career like these two... though that said, Stosur is definitely on the comeback trail!Jodihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09355057648774003889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2592023703315255188.post-82336332648319876732008-09-27T20:07:00.000-07:002008-09-27T20:07:00.000-07:00The last thing Ivanovic needs is a boyfriend, unle...The last thing Ivanovic needs is a boyfriend, unless he's a really good coach. Great post, and huge props for believing in the Aussie kids. It seems player development is slow in the U.S., too. Except you see hope. Me -- not so much.
But as far as the veterans go, I've always been a huge fan of Stosur and Molik. I wish they'd done more in their careers.Nafhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13980920774218677051noreply@blogger.com
